Water
Used for fires involving wood, paper, and plastics. It is
dangerous to use these on flammable liquid, electrical equipment,
cooking oil and fat fires.

Dry Chemical
ABE Powder:
Used for fires involving wood, paper, plastic, flammable
and combustible liquids but not cooking oils or fats. Also
can be used for flammable gases and electrical equipment.
BE Powder:
Useful for fires involving flammable and combustible liquids,
flammable gases and electrical equipment.

Carbon Dioxide (CO2)
Useful for fires involving electrical equipment. In windy
conditions not suitable for outdoor use, as the wind may
have an effect on the efficiency of the extinguisher in putting
the fire out.
