What is Fire Safe Kids?
Fire Safe Kids is a brand new, free program from CFA (that replaces Brigades in Schools) designed to teach pre-primary to Grade 6 children about fire awareness.
Trained CFA volunteer and career firefighters come to your school with an engaging and interactive presentation, combined with comprehensive teacher guides, lesson plans and giveaways for students.
Flexibility for teachers
Select from a range of free presentations targeted at specific year levels. Each presentation requires one school period and is designed for one class group (about 25-30 students).
Presentations available are on the right and start from Term 1, 2011.

Fire smart from the start
Fire Safe Kids is entirely free of charge and provides
- presentations with strong links to VELS for all levels of primary
- interactive and engaging activities
- giveaways for students including pencils, rulers, stickers and certificates
- pre- and post-visit lesson plans and support materials for teachers
