Fire is a normal part of farming activities. Avoid the risk of fires spreading or igniting on your land by following common sense safety measures and regulations.
Restrictions during the Fire Danger Period
Some farming activities are restricted during the Fire Danger Period. Permits may be required.
The Fire Danger Period is declared by CFA once an area has reached a condition of high bushfire danger and generally stays in place until 30 April.
Local councils may also place their own restrictions on using fire.
