Fire Rescue Victoria boundaries include the previous MFB boundaries, some outer urban areas and larger regional centres across Victoria.
CFA volunteers serving at former integrated stations in those outer urban areas and larger regional centres continue to respond to emergencies in their area as part of Victoria's emergency response arrangements.
In an emergency, all agencies work together as one. CFA and FRV employees also work in the State Control Centre and Regional Control Centres.
Fire District Review Panel
An independent Fire District Review Panel will advises on any future changes to the boundaries. You can view the Panel’s ‘initial determination’ (March 2023) (PDF 1.1MB).
CFA sent a submission to the Fire District Review Panel on 30 January 2024.

The Panel will now prepare its recommendations to the Minister for Emergency Services. This report is due by mid-2024.
