Fire Safety Planning Sessions

Planning for bushfire can be tough, so why do it alone? Start to develop your bushfire plan at one of CFA's FREE Fire Safety Planning sessions.

During these small group sessions you will:

  • start to develop a realistic and adaptable fire plan to suit your own circumstances, and
  • work alongside others and share ideas.

These sessions aim to:

  • provide you with the opportunity to expand your understanding of your risk, both geographically and personally through an interactive and hands on experience
  • provide you with the information you need to take action to develop your individual fire plans
  • assist you to make realistic and adaptable fire plans, which consider your own personal capacity and capability
  • encourage you to undertake ongoing preparedness and planning activities
  • help you to enact your fire plans when required to reduce loss of life and property

Fire Safety Planning sessions run for 3 hours. That might seem like a long session, but taking a bit of time now will help you to think clearly and make decisions when it really counts.

Remember - if you are caught in a bushfire it will be noisy, smoky, hot and extremely stressful. A well-thought-out plan can make all the difference.
