Resolution Support at CFA

Our commitment

CFA is committed to fostering an environment that is free from discrimination, harassment, bullying or violence and where all CFA Members, Officers and contractors are treated with dignity and respect.

Creating the right environment to make CFA a safe place to work includes setting expectations around acceptable and lawful behaviours. The Behavioural Standards set out the required behaviours for all CFA Members, Officers and contractors whenever they are performing work for or on behalf of CFA or undertaking CFA activities.

This page offers various resources and options to provide members with appropriate guidance and support to understand the expected standards of behaviour and options to address and resolve issues should they arise.

Reporting a concern

If you have a concern, complaint, or allegation, please complete the Resolution Support reporting form (PDF 228.7KB) and email resolutionsupport@cfa.vic.gov.au .

You can also report concerns, complaints, and allegations via our external reporting service:

This service is available from 8.00am to 11.00pm, seven days a week by calling 1300 933 977. When you call this number, the call-taker will answer the call, "Grapevine Hotline what organisation are you calling from?".

This service is available to all members who may want to speak to someone external to CFA about concerns relating to inappropriate behaviour. This service also offers support in submitting complaints and making referrals to CFA where members may want some level of anonymity in doing so.

The standard resolution support process and associated procedures for issue management do not automatically apply to anonymous complaints, and complainants should be aware of the differences and potential limitations associated with anonymous complaints.

Report a Child Safety concern

If you have a reasonable belief that a child or young person has been or is being abused or harmed by any person this must be reported as soon as practical, to the Child Safety Officer.

For more information and how to report a concert, please visit the Child Safety at CFA page.
